    Urban design, strategic planning and policy

Sarah is a planner and urban designer with fifteen years of experience across the public and private sectors. Her work spans structure planning, masterplanning, urban design frameworks and strategies, design guidelines, policy development, CPTED reviews and resource consenting.

She began her career as a planner at Beca before completing a Master of Urban Design, then worked as a Senior Urban Designer at Beca, as an urban designer and planner with AECOM in Vancouver, and as an independent consultant to Tauranga City Council and Kāpiti Coast District Council. Highlights include helping establish the Tauranga Urban Design Panel, leading the Tauranga Urban Design Action and Investment Plan, the Cambridge C1 to C3 structure plans, urban design for Victoria Park Tunnel, City Rail Link and the East West Link, and worker accommodation and township masterplans in Canada and the Philippines.

Sarah works well in multidisciplinary teams and is good at bringing communities, stakeholders, consultants and developers together around a shared direction. She turns complex ideas into clear, concise content that lands with a wide audience.
