Jon leads strategy and business development at The Urbanist. He connects the decisions clients need to make with the practice’s planning, design and technical expertise.
From evidence to practical tools
Jon works with the team to shape how data, technology and spatial evidence support project decisions. His focus is on useful products and tools: making complex information easier to understand, compare and act on.
He co-authored Auckland Council’s 2026 living roof report, TR2026/9, contributing to the practice’s work connecting research and monitoring with decisions about nature-based infrastructure.
Strategy and delivery
His background in high-tech manufacturing informs a practical approach to systems, operational improvement and delivery. He helps shape project opportunities and partnerships, bringing client needs, technical capability and commercial considerations together.
Jon holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland.
