Japanese Plum ‘Hawera’

Prunus domestica 'Hawera'

Hawera is self-fertile cultivar tree so will not need another tree to produce fruit. Has bright green oblong leaves. The plums are excellent for eating fresh directly off the tree due to their sweet and enjoyable flavour. They are also suitable for use in baking, preserves, and the sweet-tart flavour make them particularly good for making plum sauces and jams.

Flower : Pure white flowers with five petals blooming from early spring.

Fruit : Fruit ripens mid to late summer with dark red skin and flesh.
