Fig

Ficus Carica ‘Mrs Williams

'A variety of fig tree known for its robust growth and high productivity. It has large, lobed leaves that provide a lush, tropical appearance. This tree thrives in warm climates and is often grown in gardens and orchards for its fruit.

Flower : The flowers are unique because they are located inside the fig fruit itself, in a structure called a syconium.

Fruit : Large, sweet figs with green skins that show a purple blush when fully ripe in late summer or early autumn.  Excellent for eating fresh, directly off the tree or can be used in baking, preserves, or dried.
